I'm going to be taking my first trip to Austin in a few weeks and was wondering if there are good places a massive FNL fan should go? I looked online for locations and the like, but am not having the best luck. Any suggestions?
Also if this should be tagged under something else, let me know.

WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW MUCH I HATE PACKING!!!! What with boarding school and living in college last year I've done quite a lot of packing in my time but this time I have a whole year's worth of niffnaff and trivia to organise, pack and get home (and when I say home I mean split between my grandparents) - I've acquired so much crap over the year that I'm having to move out in waves because there's simply no way I'll get everything in to my g'mas car in one go. It's at times like these that I wish I had a vaguely normal living situation!

I've had one of those perfect evenings where the hours seem to disappear. I was originally going to do a bit more on some fanmixes I've started by going through my external harddrive and once I started finding things I loved a couple of years ago I got completely distracted and spent all evening mining through my favourite songs - I'll probably upload a collection of them in the next few days.

Picked up Ariella last night and met up with Sarabeth, Tyler, and Ben at Starbucks downtown. Shortly after, me and Ariella met up with Rosemary and their friends Carson and Cor(e?)y, and Corey's girlfriend Nicole. Look at me remembering names! We all went and saw Bruno. The original plan was to see Public Enemies - me and Ariella weren't too happy about the change. Tried to stay positive about it though considering Sacha is a smart, witty man. But I don't know, I found the movie to be pretty much pure crap. There was one funny line and then one funny moment, and maybe the song at the end made it worth watching. Well, the celebrity appearances - not so much the song itself. I don't know. I'm a fan of insulting humor when done right (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), but I found everything in the movie to be just plain insulting. After the movie, we went to the beach and just walked along it for a while. Weather wasn't the best. Usually there's a chill on the beach at night, even if it's cruddy elsewhere but it was just about the same - icky humidity. (P.S. Ariella was originally going to pay for my ticket because of the abrupt change in the movie choice, and because I drive us around so much - so I really couldn't argue with her there. But her friend that got us into Star Trek free was there again and let us in for free last night, too. Half-way through Bruno, I told Ariella I was so glad she didn't have to pay for the both of us. And she brought this up later when I was driving her home, agreeing, "Not that I would have minded paying FOR YOU, I am also glad I didn't have to pay for both you and I ... for that." Oi vey.)


Today is Free Slurpie Day at 7-11!!!!!! Will be going out later to get me one. :)

I'm finally back from Louisiana. My first thought upon stepping out of San Francisco International Airport? "Wind, oh glorious and cool wind, how I've missed you!" Because it's nice to be able to go out of doors and not feel like you're standing in an infinite slow cooker.

Lots of things to do now that I'm home: write out my (mis)adventures, upload photos, look through the scores of entries on the flist. But all of that will have to wait until tomorrow because the only thing I want to do now is curl up in bed with a good book.

Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" just won't go away, will it?

Justin Timberlake had us laughing with his leotard-wearing rendition on Saturday Night Live. Then Joe Jonas had us cringing when he showed off some rather spastic moves to the hit dance song. And of course, there are those gazillion YouTube videos paying homage to Beyoncé's engagement ring anthem.

Now comes Glee, the new upcoming Fox dramedy from Nip/Tuck creator Ryan Murphy.

So how does Mr. Murphy use "Single Ladies"? We'll tell you now so you don't have to wait until the episode airs on Sept. 30.

4. Random thoughts: Summer has been super uneventful so far. My super awesome parents got me this GQMF Camera: ( NIKON d60 ). Um..I'm pretty annoyed at my friends right now, they're being kinda dumb. I bought a Spock bobblehead lol (cause Star Trek has invaded my brain and my conscious sounds like ZQ's Spock now, no lie). And I really need to get a job. That's pretty much all

What's up guys? Got any suggestions as to what I should do this summer? CAUSE I AM BOREDDD AS HALE! lol

It's funny because I actually don't like this movie that much. Well, I sort of do but I sort of don't. Like the last entire half? Not very interesting to me. Once Jude and Lucy actually got together I wasn't very invested in their story. Bits of Across the Universe do stand out for though me as wonderful: Lucy and Jude tripping off of acid at that party where Bono sings "I Am the Walrus", how compelling it was when Evan Rachel Wood sang "If I Fell", the antics at college with Joe Anderson hitting the golf ball off of the roof, Jude drawing Lucy's face on the side of that building. But this scene, oh my God. If only the whole entire movie, instead of looping off into...I don't know what (but it didn't work so much for me), could have been like this scene. Jim Sturgess is pretty charming though nonetheless, and I love Joe Anderson's voice, especially in "Dear Prudence" (though really, a gay character literally hiding in the closet? Really?)

Blair and Chuck are on cloud nine, but there's still a niggling little doubt at the back of Blair's mind that tells her to watch out for "The Old Chuck". Kinda like how we're all meant to watch out for "The Old Serena".

Just a quick update ... I'm here at a hostel in Singapore. It costed me SG$20 a night or about US$15. It's a dormitory hostel, meaning that I share the room with 5 others girls. It's a nice place.

I just spent almost 12 hours on Friday to visit some of the tourist places I wanted to visit: Sentosa Island and then back to the city to quick check Singapore Art Museum (it's free because I arrived there after 6 P.M. on a Friday). My feet are just killing me!! But I had fun. Will return home tomorrow afternoon and arrive in Jakarta around 7 P.M.

Oh, before I forgot, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, sandy_s. You're one of my oldest friends and I truly cherish our friendship. I wish you a lot of joy and happiness ... especially now that you're getting married :)

Now, I'm just going to hit the shower and go to sleep. So tired
